Elizabeth Rehkopf '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming competitively since I was at the age of 7. I was born in Bakersfield California and started swimming for the Bakersfield Swim Club at a young age but later on transferring clubs towards Cal State Swim Team for the Roadrunners. As I got older, I started swimming and participating in the Junior Olympics that also led to qualifying for the Age Group Regionals. Along with swimming, I have participated in many sports including soccer and cross country. Because of this, I have developed a strong work ethic, drive, and compassion for competition. Although swimming is a independent type of sport, sports like soccer and cross country helped me work well with others and developed listening skills that has shaped me into the swimmer I am today. 

  Swimming itself has always been very enjoyable. The feeling I get on the block right before a race is irreplaceable. I want to have the opportunity to swim competitively in college while receiving the best education. I am looking for a school that will give me the opportunity to swim at the highest level I possibly can while learning new things along the way.
