Before trying out swimming 6 years ago, I had tried many other sports, but nothing stuck with me, or I couldn't get the hang of it. I stayed with swimming because I love being in the water, and it is really fun and rewarding.
The past two years of high school swimming has been a wonderful experience and I can't wait for the next two years! I made it to CIF State Championships for a relay my freshman year, and CIF Finals in individual events both my freshman and sophomore years. I was very close to making it to State again my sophomore year in the 500 freestyle, but I was a couple seconds off of the cut. It was disappointing, but I am thankful that now I have a near term goal to work for my junior year! I am currently working to finish high school swim strong and look forward to see what I could do as a college swimmer.
