Paige Fast '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Paige Fast and I will be a sophomore in college at Mt.San Antonio College in Walnut California. I was born in Boise, Idaho and lived there until December 2020 when my dad’s job relocated us to California.
My parents realized how much I loved the water at just six months old, and enrolled me in swim lessons. I continued lessons for the next eight years until I joined a rec league, which I swam for until 8th grade. At that time, I joined a year-round club team (Boise Y Swim Team) and swam with them up until our move. I am now swimming competitively with Fontana Aquatics as well as with my college team. I completed my first three years on the Mountain View High School Varsity Swim Team and have qualified for and swam at State all three years. Because I have moved to California I swam a second Varsity season with my new school.
Between two swim teams and school, I had to quickly learn how to manage my time effectively. Academics have always been a priority, but I have come to realize that having a good balance between school work, swimming, and being a teenager is important. My freshamn year of college I became an 8 time all American. I hold a conference record in the 200 backstroke. To add to that I hold the 100 back school record. During my freshman season at Mt. Sac I dropped time in every event and even made sectionals in 3 events. Outside of school and swim, I am involved in regular church activities, and maintain a job teaching kids how to swim, as well as teaching club swim. I am looking forward to growing in both my swimming abilities and my academics and am excited to see what my future holds. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
