I have been swimming competitively for many years and the sport has become a very big part of, not only my life, but my family's life. They have been there to support me non stop and that is why I believe I have been able to accomplish many things throughout my swimming career. I have participated in a club called Novaquatics (of Irvine, CA) for 8 years. I know that I can offer dedication and provide leadership to my team. I will, and continue to motivate my teammates to be the best that they can be as well. I also started playing Water Polo my Sophomore year and I thoroughly enjoy it just as much as swimming. It is a different kind of teamwork and game. We as a team, accomplished a lot this season and many of the things that we have experienced, I will cherish my whole life. We were able to make it to the CIF Division 7 Finals in Water Polo. I plan on playing Water Polo until the end of high school and if I am given the opportunity to play in college I will consider it as well. My most important accomplishments in Swimming are receiving the League MVP awards and beating school records. I beat the 30 year old record from 1979 for the 100 Breastroke my freshman year at 1:14.44. I felt like doing that helped me make a mark at my school for my entire high school swimming career and hope to make history for a very long time at my school. The 200 Medley Relay team that I was apart of also beat a 30 year old record. I was the Breastroke leg for that relay. I would consider ever opportunity that I am given and be open to any types of schools because I want to be able to experience everything possible. I highly consider Urban and Suburban areas (populated cities). I enjoy communicating, public speaking, and writing so I am hoping to enter into a major where I can study that. But I am still in the process of considering other types of majors. My athletic goals for college is to continue to swim and compete at high levels in the sport. Going to college is definitely a big step for my family and I would be the first to go to college. I owe a lot to my family, friends, and coaches for all the support they have given me. Taking advantage of these opportunities would be the best thing that I can do for them right now.
