Hi my name is Ashley Hartunian. I am sophomore at Los Angeles Valley College and am looking forward to resuming my swim career after JC.
I have been swimming since I was four years old and it has impacted me in a positive way through the desire to swim faster, the dedication I put to this sport, and the way it makes me feel. When I was 7, I moved to Louisiana for 4 years and attended Crawfish Aquatics where I was on both school team and club team. Through a bunch of meets and practices, I soon developed my passion for the IM and breaststroke. For high school, I moved to Granada Hills where I ended up at GHCHS and joined Rattlers Swim Club and swam for the school. As my passion for this sport and the water grew, I also joined the waterpolo team sophomore year. After high school, I decided to swim for JC and my love for the sport grew even more. I was swimming events I hadn't swam before and dropping almost 20+ seconds in both the 200 im and the 400 im since my freshman season at LAVC.
I am interested in a college that will allow me to further expand my swimming career, while pursuing my education in Pre PA. I am looking forward to hearing from any coaches that are interested and discussing your aquatic and academic programs with you.
