As a student athlete I have a passion for both my sport and academics. I have dreamed of competing at the college level since I began my career in swimming when I was nine years old. The dream became solidified when my coach of seven years, told me I have the talent and the drive to reach and potentially surpass my goal. Both in the classroom and in the pool I give my all, even on days when I might not be 100%. I know that if I work hard, persevere, and keep pushing my boundaries I can achieve what I set my sights on in the pool and in class. I am a team player who enjoys working with others. I also know how to find balance and determine when it is time to focus on myself and my personal goals. I have a determined personality. and I enjoy a challenge. I don't give up when things are difficult, if anything it makes me work harder. As a prospective psychology major I hope to work with people in need, perhaps in the specialized field of human profiling and counter terrorism. I look forward to an opportunity to be a part of a team and take my swimming career to the next level while pursuing a my future.
