Dear Coach,
If you are looking for a dedicated and coachable athlete who is always striving to improve and excel both as a swimmer and as a person, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Addison Luette, a current senior at Cabrillo High School in Lompoc, CA.
As the youngest of five children, I have developed a competitive nature, always seeking to push my boundaries and striving to stand out. As an athlete, my focus has not only been about personal achievement but also about being a role model and leader for younger athletes, which I do as a varsity athlete and as a gymnastics coach. I believe in setting an example through my hard work, dedication, and positive attitude.
I hope you will consider my tremendous amount of still untapped potential. So far in the Spring 2024 swim season I have cut my 50-Free time by more than one second (and more than 4 seconds over the past two seasons)— down to 26.68 individual and 26.12 as anchor in the 200 Medley Relay. And I know my body can still move faster with dedicated coaching and the expectations of a high-performing team.
Additionally, with my experience as a gymnast, I am interested in diving as well, if those extra points would be valuable for the team.
In conclusion, I see myself as more than just an athlete; I am a dedicated, coachable, and positive individual who uses sports as a platform to inspire others. I believe I will be a valuable addition to your collegiate team.
Kind regards,
Addison Luette
