Chelsea Park '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a senior at Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, California, where I have swam on the varsity swim team since my freshman year. I also train with the Golden West Swim Club in Huntington Beach, California. As a five foot tall “Mighty Mouse” I make up for my unique height with technically sound strokes, strong underwater, and quick turns. My favorite strokes are breaststroke and butterfly. My best events are 100 Breast and 200 IM. This year’s swim season was particularly memorable because I finished as the 2022 Moore League Champion for 100 Breast. Furthermore, my 50 fly leg helped our 200 IM relay team to clinch 1st place and get a D1 CIF cut at our Moore League Championship. 

With an unweighted GPA of 4.0, I am in search of a college that values academics just as much as swimming. My academic goal is to pursue a major in a field that will prepare me for a career in international relations. I’m looking for an undergraduate experience that will provide me with a well-rounded liberal arts education that values diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice and offers a wide range of opportunities for internship and study abroad educational experiences.
