Nicole Oliva '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming since I was 7 years old and experienced significant growth throughout my career.  I am not afraid to seek out new opportunities; for example, I transitioned from a sprinting background to a mid-distance/distance focus. As a result, I discovered a newfound love for longer events, including open water swimming.  In addition, I found my calling in representing the Philippines in international competition, hopefully influencing athletes of future generations.

From an academic standpoint, I enjoy hands-on activities and interactive learning, which paves the way for my interest in further studying science.  In particular, I look forward to gaining more knowledge about our world and universe through education in chemistry, earth science, and/or astronomy.
