Personal Statement

Ever since I was little I have always tried or been a leader, and being that type of person has always played a big part in life. When I tell people that, they're often surprised by how quiet and observant I am. Both of these things have made me the athlete and student that I am. When I'm at practice and in the water, I push myself, and feel what I'm doing in a way that I can tell what mistakes I'm making. If I can't always tell, my coach shows me the technique, or I ask for help. I enjoy helping my teammates improving technique with Freestyle and dives, and I always strive to improve. I do my best to work as hard in the classroom as I do in the pool. At work, I'm liked by coworkers and very well liked by my bosses because I do all sorts of random jobs that most people wouldn't think to do. I'm a quiet, kind, smart, dedicated, determined person, and I bring a new perspective because I think differently. I look at all the details, think about how they fit together and then I think about how I can make every piece better. I bring this into my technique in the pool, thinking about every muscle in my body and how to make them work harder, faster, and improve the movement so it's that much smoother. In college, I plan on graduating with a major in Law, Psychology, Recreation, Behavioral Science, or Criminology and from there I plan on going to Graduate School. I also plan on doing better than I ever have when it comes to swim, making friends, and enjoying the experiences I have.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
