My last high school season was very rewarding. In addition to making personal bests in both the 200 IM and the 100 Back, I finished 11th in the 100 Back at CIF Southern Section D1. My most rewarding moment was when I helped our 4x50 Free relay team to a 4th place finish. Aided by the excitement of my teammates, I was able to go 24.14, which is a full second faster than my previous best. That was a great end to the season.
This upcoming season, I’m very focused on achieving Junior National times in the 100 Back and 100 Fly, as well as making top 8 in CIF. I’m confident that I can put myself in position to make a meaningful contribution to my college team, from both an athletic and a leadership perspective. In addition to athletics, it's very important for me to be at a school where I can meet my academic needs and achieve my goal of entering medical school.
