Personal Statement
Swimming has always been an integral part of my life for as far back as I can remember. In addition to continuing to nurture this love of swimming, I would like to balance academic and personal growth. Leadership skills in motivating and relating with teammates have grown as the captain of my high school swim team, promoting a positive and driven environment. My work ethic and competitive drive encourage me not only to swim fast in the water but also to excel out of the water, challenging myself with honors and AP classes. I am different because I balance athletics, academics, and character in a way that, though competitive, supports teammates and is a contributor to a positive team dynamic.
