My world revolves around swimming. I'm the kind of person who hates the holidays because it gets in the way of my training routine. I also haven't traveled since I was 11 because when I looked at the Eiffel tower or the Panama Canal all I could think about was how badly I wanted to be in the pool. If I had to pick my favorite thing about swimming it would probably have to be that I love the pain, I love that every one of my events possesses its own signature type of pain, but the best pain is the kind where you know you're going to get a best time and you're ahead of everyone, you're rhythm and tempo are spot on, the pain is perfect. That is what I strive for and chase. That's what drives me to work my hardest in the pool. My goal for the next four years is to qualify for Futures which would give me D1 cuts and to find a school that will suit my needs not only in the pool but also academically. I have not yet figured out if I want to swim D1 but I would like to have the options and times. I come from a very small close-knit team and school so it is extremely important that I find a school and team that feels like a family and can support me.
