Personal Statement
Interests are ideas that are formed in an individual’s mind based off of ideology and life experiences. I grew up in a family whose primary provider was an engineer, my father. Due to these conditions, logic and problem-solving are naturally embedded into my lifestyle. Because of these foundational concepts and their applicability to a career setting, I have been considering pursuing a profession in engineering. Even after graduating from high school I want to have the ability to continue to learn and challenge myself every day. I believe that engineering could fulfill these expectations for my future. That being said, I have always dreamed that swimming would be a vehicle to college and not a destination.
