Ana Mejia '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ana I practice swimming since I am 6 years old. My goal when I enter a pool is to give my all and be a team player and leader. 

The swimming helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming the person who i am today. 

 During all these years that I have swum, my favorite highlights have been scoring the winning goal on Regional and National event of my city Cumana, Venezuela in 2016/17/18 with my team. Another highlight is to be selected to represent my team to swim in the “Aguas Abiertas” competition which is an event that takes place in Cumana, Venezuela on the beach. It was a very impressive event to be able to swim with people from other cities in my country.

I am very open minded when it comes to choosing a college, the most important thing for me is to feel safe in the area and a college with a lot of school spirit .  I am looking for a school with a good program to study Business, to specialize in International Business. My athletic goal is to keep swimming  at a high level and continue to grow as a swimmer on and off the Pool . I believe I can make a positive impact both physically and mentally on a team.
