From the first moment I jumped in the water, I knew I loved swimming. I started swimming competitively when I was 10 years old, and even then I loved swimming fly. Now my favorite event is the 200 fly and I am always so excited to swim it. Swimming makes me feel free to do what I like and it is an amazing opportunity for me. I hold myself to my goals and I work hard in every practice and event I swim. Two aspects I love about the 200 Fly is that you have to be patient and have grit. I love these challenges because they help me improve and become a better swimmer. I have had some set backs in my swimming career, but I have always worked through them and learned from my mistakes. I also persevere in school to be the best student-athlete I can be and I work hard in all of my classes. My personality with perseverance, grit, and patience helps me achieve my goals. I want to swim in college because I want to be part of a team, where we share our wins and losses, and always stick together. I want to be a part of a team that will always be there for me and I will always be there for my teammates.
