Hi, my name is Megan Crossland and I am a senior at Moscow High School. My mother began enrolling me in swim lessons when I was 5 years old after I face planted into a lake near my childhood home. That safety measure jumpstarted my passion for swimming. I quickly grew a love for the water. When I was 8 I joined my first club team and my love for swimming grew even more. I have competed on a total of 4 club teams throughout my career and swam all 4 seasons on my high school's team. I swim dual practices during my high school season adding up to a total of 3 hours swam per day between club and high school practice. I love team building and bonding with my teammates. Despite my passion for swimming I will always put my academics in front of my athletics. I prefer an academic environment where I am challenged and urged to work harder. Outside of swimming and school I enjoy reading, philosophy, poetry, and spending time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to furthering my education and swimming ability, and I hope to grow as a person in the process.
