Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Veronika. As a young child, I was doing various sports including basketball travel team and swimming. But when I was about 11 years old, I committed entirely into swimming and have been swimming year-round ever since. When I train and compete, I always put my heart and full effort into it. When I was 14, I was a state champion in the 1500 meters and placed top eight in multiple events at Illinois State Championships for many years. I am currently holding five school records at Buffalo Grove High School. I am currently 5'10", weigh 130 lbs, and I am really starting to enjoy sprinting.
Although swimming is very important to me, I know that academic commitments always come first. I would like to attend a college or university high in academics. I'm planning in majoring in engineering or pre-med. I am open to different types of schools.
