Rileigh Atwood '21 Recruiting Profile

The highlight of my swimming career so far was coming in as a freshman not knowing what to expect and trying to find my place on the team and breaking the breaststroke school record by more than 3 seconds.  I also became a leader of 2 relays teams.  I feel like I grew as an athlete by realizing it doesn't matter what year you  are, you just need to swim your race.  I was just a second of the state cut time and realized what I needed to do to re-focus my own efforts  to become a State qualifier. 

I feel very fortunate to be part of a great swim program. I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership without always winning or being the top team.  I am looking for a program that will challenge, support, and value my efforts not only athletically but academically as well. I believe I can become an asset to a college leave team with hard work and dedication. I have been a 3 sport athlete and have  been a captain.  I know what it takes to be a leader.
