Personal Statement
My name is Kaiya Brown. I am currently based in New Zealand. I am in my second to last year in school at Marist College in Auckland. I have been swimming for Roskill Swim Club for the past 5 years, and recently joined the National swim team for Samoa. In 2019 I competed in the Pacific Games, where I made 2 finals and was part of the 4x200 relay team that won silver. This year I have been selected to compete in the 2020 Oceania champs for the Samoa team. I would love to continue my Swimming career by attending a swim program through college in the U.S.A.
As mentioned, I am currently in year 12, graduating December 2021. Last year I received Merit endorsement for NCEA Level 1, and I am currently working towards completing NCEA Level 2.
