Personal Statement
My name is Keianna B. Moss and I am a 16 year old student of Focus Point Academy in Nassau, The Bahamas. I started swimming at the age of 9 and continue to love the sport. I train with Mako Aquatics Club in Nassau, Bahamas who is the current National Champions for the past two years and my coaches name is Coach Travano McPhee.
Coach McPhee has trained and molded me into the swimmer I am today and I appreciate all that he has done for me. When it is time to train, I train hard and push myself to the maximum capacity as when you train hard you become a better swimmer.
As one of the Senior Girls on our team I try to motivate and encourage younger swimmers in pushing hard at practice and listening to Coach McPee to make them a better swimmer.
Throughout my swimming career I have been a proud member of The Bahamas Goodwill Team (2017), St. Lucia where I won Girls 11-12 High Point Trophy (2017), Bahamas Carfita Team (2018-Jamaica & 2019-Barbados), Bahamas CCCAN Team (2018-Aruba & 2019-Barbados). I also travelled to Coral Springs, Florida and participated in the first ever UANA Swimming Championships (2018).
I am also very serious about my academics as I try to maintain a GPA of 3.4 and higher. Being able to maintain my GPA shows that I can balance my academics and swimming goals.
I have been dreaming of becoming the first Bahamian Swimmer to win a Gold medal at the Olympics. This is something I am very passionate and dedicated to achieving and I will continue to train hard and make my dream a reality.
