Personal Statement
Swimming has always been a passion for me.I have been swimming since I was two years old and I have always aspired to be an olympian and conquer big things.
I am Jasmine Eissa, based in Dubai and I've been swimming for Hamilton Aquatics for 14 years .My main events are 200m butterfly and 400m IM.I've always been a very competitive person not only around the pool but also outside the arena and working hard has always been an essential skill to being an athlete, hence why I've been frequently named 'Heart of a Lion' by my coaches. I beleive I have the qualities to compete at collegiate level.I've been head of sports for two consecutive years , developing both my leadership skills and teamwork.
In the classroom, I'm currently completing my A levels; Physical Education,Business Studies and English language in Dubai and I hope to use this knowledge to help me with my course.
Recently competing at African Junior Championships in Mauritius with the Egyptian national swimming team, I experienced what its like to race internationally, and came back home with a gold medal in the 200m butterfly, silver in 400m IM and overall best team. I hope to move this forward and look forward to swimming at collegiate level and achieve new things.
I am open to all colleges and hope to pursue my goals both in the pool and in the classroom and achieve things I didn't know I could.
