Personal Statement
My name is Vhenekai Dhemba. I am 18 years old and currently train with Sharks Swimming Club, being coached by Kathy Lobb. I am the swimming captain for my club, Sharks, and was also the 2024 Hellenic Academy Swimming captain and Harare Province captain. My goals are to get the appropriate training to significantly improve my times in order for me to be able to perform at a high level at competitions as well as have the criteria to be selected for other tours to represent my country and the school that I will be attending. I feel as though I am a very hard working and self motivated individual, therefore when I have my mind set on achieving something I will work hard to accomplish the goal. I also feel like I am accommodating and respectful of the people that surround me which allows me to work well within a team.
