Winning overall 11-12 girls champion 2 years ago was a major high in my swimming journey. Swimming for 6 years has not been as easy as I thought it was supposed to be. They were lots of highs and low's. At times I lost my motive and drive to go swim. Seeing all my friends do school sports or do things that I could not do because I had swim practice crushed my spirit and love for the sport. But I always knew at the back of my head that the pool is where I wanted to be. I love the feeling of the water and that it's just you, your thoughts and the water. I find the pool like a safe space because it was where I go when I am having a bad day, and as I am swimming I am able to be in the water and think to through what is happening in in my life. I believe swimming has shaped me to be the person I am today.,without the influence and help from my parents, I would have been done with swimming a long time ago. Its helped me learn that if you want to be the best at something or get to a certain level you have to push throw it because there is no success that is handed to you. You have to work for it. I want to be able to say that I swam all 4 four years of high school and still archived 3.8 Gpa or higher. And when I get into college I want to try to discover my purpose and who I truly am.
