Personal Statement
Hi! I am Kyla Soguilon, 17 years old and currently living in the Philippines. I am a Grade 11 student studying at De La Salle University Manila. I have been swimming for ten years and competing internationally for nine. I aspire to compete and study in the United States of America at the collegiate level as I believe that it would grant me bigger and better opportunities for my swimming and future career. As a swimmer, I am dedicated and passionate about training well to improve my times and strokes and win during games. I am also fond of leading my team during training because teamwork is one of my specialties as I like helping my teammates in situations where they find difficulty. Being an international student may give me time to adjust to a different setting, but I am willing to make sacrifices and take risks to ensure that my future will be in great hands.
