• This was my first SA Short Course event and my best time was my 200 breast 2.56.

• I started open water swimming in October last year, I swam my first event 1,500m and my time was 23.36. My coach suggested I try longer distances and my first 3 kilometer my time was 49+. There after I swam two more 3K events and competed at my provincials champs and achieved a time of 46+. I was selected to represent my province as the National competition. Mostly I had only swum in fresh water and the National competition was in Salt Water. I achieved an excellent time of 42.01. I am keen to attempt a 5k soon.

• Did very well, swam my first 100 fly and dropped about 10 seconds on each 200 metre event and about 5 seconds on each 100 event.
