Personal Statement
"There are always more solutions to a problem than the problem itself" seems to be the common phrase my parents always say to me when I'm discouraged or unmotivated. Yet that seems to be true in every aspect of my swimming experience. Whatever that problem may be, you would just have to figure out a way; a smart way to solve it. That process is never easy. I am by no means the star-athlete of the team, and nor do I admit to being the best at what I am doing but my desire to learn, to be better than who I was yesterday, and to be able to figure out the different solutions to that one problem is what makes me a good candidate for any team.
In the classroom environment, I am always trying hard and giving every subject my 100%. I study hard and try to maintain a high GPA. Whether it is in or out of the pool, I am always pushing myself to be better and to improve. I was the student council secretary, and am currently working on starting a mental health and awareness project.
In and out of the water, I always strive to be the 2.0 version of who I was before. Through this process of constantly updating and improving, this is what makes me the best version of who I could be.
