This was my first large international competition. My goal was to swim a qualifying Youth Olympic time for 50m backstroke, but I competed in a number of other races. The B standard qualifying time for Youth Olympics was 30.88, I swam a 30.89.

This was the largest international competition I had ever attended. My goals were to try and swim personal bests in 50 backstroke and 50 freestyle. I didn’t achieve my target times, but the competition was a great learning experience.
