Personal Statement
I am a hardworking and dedicated swimmer and student. I am currently based in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. It is a long held dream of mine to swim and study at a U.S college. For me, it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity that would allow me to combine two things I am passionate about.
I am looking for a college that would provide me with a strong academic offering as that is of high importance to me. I am planning to major in biological or biomedical science.
Recently, I was selected for the 2020 Wellington Regional Athlete Development Squad. I have also recently moved up to the Senior Performance Squad at Capital Swim Club, Wellington. This is allowing me to push myself further and develop my skills in a higher performance atmosphere.
I am a committed team member who strives to always bring my best to training and racing. I am an exceptionally hard worker both in the pool and in class. I enjoy the challenge of working hard and seeing the results of my efforts. If I was selected to be part of a college swim team, I would enjoy the team spirit and the independence involved with living and training overseas.
