Personal Statement
Aspirations: I'm excited about having a coach and a team of women to swim with at college. I hope to encourage my teammates, to learn from them and be surrounded by people who can inspire and push me to be better. I see myself in an environment where I can improve significantly, become stronger as an athlete and have the opportunity to compete in more meets. One day, I aspire to swim for my country, Eswatini, which hardly anyone knows about and to make a difference in the lives of other young African women who seek opportunities to swim.
Team Player: Although I have been training for 3 years, I have an unfailing determination to develop as a stronger athlete. This is not a setback but an untapped opportunity to reduce my times through improving my technique. I believe that with coaching and resources for training, I have the potential to improve drastically.
Set Apart: I am coachable, determined, persevering, self-motivated and disciplined. I put 100% into my academics and my swim training. And at competitions, when my adrenaline is unleashed, I can be more powerful than in trainings and a remarkably kind and a valuable member of the team relays.
