My swim career has been filled with a few setbacks; that taught lessons that have transformed me into the swimmer I am today. My academic goal for high school is to maintain a 4.0 GPA. This is achievable for me because of my work ethic and self-motivation. Balancing swimming and getting an education is challenging, especially around state time. Preservation to get my homework done between prelims and finals saved my GPA. My long-time college goal is to graduate with my bachelor's degree, then get accepted into a dental school for 4 years to receive my Doctor of Dental Surgery. The characteristics that my parents instilled in me are that hard work pays off, to always be committed to something no matter how difficult, and planning is the key to success. This sport follows a process; no matter what stage you are at, there is always room to improve. Which is why I love to swim.
