I've been swimming competitively for 9 years and would love to take it to the next level, by continuing to swim in college. I'm looking for a team where I can continue to race in my favorite events: the 50 and 100 free, 100 and 200 breaststroke. I care about swimming and always want to improve. I believe I show my dedication by showing-up to practice everyday at 5am, because my team has to practice before school. I love being part of a team and starting friendships with new people; team-bonding and showing spirit for the team is always fun and makes me appreciate what I have, and the relationship I have with my teammates. For my academic and career goals, I would like to study in the field of science, with interests in meteorology, the ocean, and working with animals. I also enjoy photography, traveling to new places and trying new things. I love all types of weather, so the climate doesn't really matter to me in determining where I attend college. I also care about the environment, so right now I am in the environmental club at my high school; I also participate in 4-H so that I can get more experience with public speaking, leadership in working with others, volunteer work in projects supporting my community, and further leadership and citizenship activities by participating in the County/4-H Fair every summer the past 7 years. I can't wait to go to college and start a new part of my life.
