I would like to continue swimming competitively at the collegiate level while I pursue a degree in primary education.
I’ve enjoyed being a part of a club swim team, high school swim team, and high school cross country team. I’ve learned that I’m personally responsible for making my team as good as possible by putting in hard work to improve myself and encourage and be a positive influence for my teammates. Cross country has shown me that I can enjoy new things and might even be good at them! These teams have also allowed me to make lifelong friends, and use my leadership qualities to help encourage others and give advice to the younger athletes.
I’m shorter than most of my competitors, and have put in the work to focus on technique and the little things to gain every advantage possible. I’ve worked on my turns, improving my underwaters, focusing on the placement of my hands, and I’ve ran cross country to help with my endurance.
I can bring positivity, a fun personality, hard work and dedication to a swim team.
