Hi there, I'm Erika. I have had passion for swimming ever since I was little and just learning how to swim, I started competitive swimming 7 years ago with Manta Swim Club. I have been a part of this club my whole swim career and have come to be a strong leader on the team and really value team spirit. Swimming has helped me face many battles emotionally and physically and has taught me perseverance and lots of life lessons. Through my journey so far in swimming I have also swam with provincial team Manitoba and competed in Canadian National events. I am a well rounded athlete, I swim all strokes but tend to excel at distance, freestyle, and butterfly. Currently I practice nine times a week consisting of morning and afternoon practices that tend to be around 5-8km, as well as two dry-land sessions. At this time you can find my technique video on my profile and some meet videos are currently being processed and will be on my profile soon.
Even while being a dedicated swimmer I am a hard worker in and out of the pool. I attend Grant Park High School and am graduating class of 2023. I have been in an enriched/honours program for all of high school, am currently taking AP courses through the AP College Board, and am an honour role student. At this time you can find my transcript attached above of the grades I received in grade 9, 10, and 11. I also work a summer job, coach the younger swimmers of my swim club (I am safe sport, respect in sport and Swimming 101 certified by Swim Canada), volunteer, and am part of my student council for school.
