I plan to attend college after high school and pursue my passion in the field of Environmental Science. I’ve done my research and understand that I need to get my Master’s Degree, so that I can be the best in my field. As a competitive swimmer growing up, I had a lot of people doubting my athletic accomplishments, and I loved to prove them wrong, by not only talking, but putting it all in the water. I excel when people doubt my athletic abilities. Also, being the swimmer with the most experience on my High School Swim Team, I am often approached by my teammates who want me to help them with stroke techniques. I think this separates me from the other swimmers and makes me a more stronger and smarter swimmer. In the beginning of my high school career I was in Marching Band, Swimming with my Club team and High School team. It was difficult but I managed to get through. I even won MVP my first year on the High School Swim Team. Once I started my Sophomore year my mom asked me to pick the path I want to take, either swimming or Marching Band, and, of course, I chose swimming because it is my passion and life goal to become an Olympian. I plan to be the next "Simone Manuel" and better. Sophomore year I swam with my High School and Club Team. I worked hard in both practices to improve my times. Swimming for both teams gave me knowledge and discipline on how to juggle my school work and athletics. From my hard work in the 2015- 2016 High School Swim Year, I was appointed Team Captain for the 2016 -2017 School Year. This year I placed top 4 in the Prince Georges Championship for the Breaststroke. I have been team Captain for the last two years and with this appointment I plan to lead my teammates towards a championship win in my upcoming Senior year.
