I am a hard-working student, maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA while taking multiple AP courses, and am a dedicated year-round swimmer. I look forward to studying landscape architecture or environmental studies and biology at a university that will honor academics along with athletics. I have been inducted to my school’s National Honors Society, and volunteer at swim clinics for my club team. I have also created my own project that collects and delivers bikes to refugee families in the metro Detroit area, called Pedaling Forward.
I started swimming at a young age but participated in a variety of sports in addition to swimming including soccer, volleyball, fencing, and track. By 9th grade, I realized my love for swimming and recommitted to year-round swim. I view swimming as an important part of my life and always strive to improve. Swimming every day is good for my body and for my mind, and learning to balance swimming and school has taught me valuable lessons on time management and dedication. Plus, the friendship and loyalty of my fellow swimmers are something I cherish.
