I have been swimming since I was 4 years old and college swimming has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. swimming is something that is very important to me, and I am a very determined and hard worker in and out of the pool. I interact well with other people and enjoy meeting new people.
I strive to be a good leader, set good examples, and encourage others. I have been voted as one of 4 captains on my high school swim team, and I am very excited to help out my team. One of my favorite things about swimming is that you grow so close to your teammates, and swimming fosters an environment of overwhelming support.
Outside of the pool, I volunteer with my church, my school, and both my club and high school swim team. I have also taught swim lessons. I work very hard to maintain a high GPA, and I am challenged with my course work in school while I take multiple honors and AP classes. I am a member of National Honors Society, peer ministry and hope volunteer club at my school.
When looking at colleges I hope to find a school where I can contribute these aspects of myself to the school, team and community. I hope to be challenged in my course work and work in the pool, while building strong relationships with my teammates, coaches, and teachers.
