Swimming is a sport that I started my 8th grade year simply to get out of playing basketball, but it turned into something that I couldn't live without. Throughout my swimming career, I have learned new ways to challenge myself, worked harder then I thought I could, and developed life long relationships.
Something that has always drawn me to the idea of participating in sports at the collegiate level is the friendships that you make. I not only want to push myself to be able to become better, but to have teammates to help and to help me along the way. I think of myself as a leader. I have leadership roles in many of the organizations that I participate in, including NHS, SADD, and many others. I am also a very positive person and look forward to putting my best effort in to wherever I go to continue my education.
