Hi, my name is Ava Bell! At the age of 5 started my journey with the sport of swimming and loved the kind of people it surrounded me with. For as long as I can remember I have had the goal of swimming competitively at the collegiate level while furthering my education. I believe that you should never miss out on moments of self improvement. Whether it be in the water training, out of the pool training, or academics, I have a very positive mindset and desire to succeed. A few of my collegiate goals are to finish pre-med and obtain my bachelor's degree in preparation to become a radiologist, or study in the art department. Another goal I have in college is to help my team succeed and continue getting better as an athlete. Something I admire about myself is that I enjoy being a part of a team and I am proud to represent that team. Because I am a part of not only my Varsity Swim team at Bedford Senior High School and my club team at Greater Toledo Aquatic Club I have risen as a leader and think highly of the role I play in my community. The respect of my peers and coaches is a major key, and I am so thankful for all of the coaches that have helped me get to where I am today and where I want to be. Something that makes me different from other recruits is that I have been swimming since a young age, and I am thrilled about team workouts and get-togethers. I also take constructive criticism well and look at it as a way of improvement. I am always looking for ways to improve my technique and I am open to trying new things. Even with the commitment and ambition I have in the pool and academics, I always try to make people smile and know they have my support. I look forward to speaking and working with my future team and coaches!
