Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Faith Ring and I am from Farmington, Minnesota. Where I have swam, for the past 10 years of my life. I currently swim for Northfield Swim club, and started with them in the fall of 2022, before I spent 7 years at Tigersharks Swim club and Lifetime Swim Club. I am the graduating class of 2023 and am so excited to be in the recruiting process! Some things that I think make me not only a great athlete but a great person is my dedication to help others and continue to grow. I like to spend my time on the pool deck working and helping my teammate with all their swimming questions. I enjoy trying to make practices and meets a fun uplifting environment for everyone. Being a good motivator and teammate has helped me become successful in and out of the water. This leads me to my academic life, school is very important to me. I am lucky enough to have taken honors and AP classes since starting high school. Currently, I am part of a PSEO program called MNCAPS (Minnesota Center for Advanced Professional Studies) where I have kicked off my start to becoming a sports psychologist and athletic trainer.

My teammates and coaches are my family, and family comes first. I am determined to put my family first because I know that if I have their back they'll have mine. I would like to be part of a family while in college and help to keep traditions the make up your family. Each team is unique with their team connection and I belive I can help make it one of a kind. I am definitely not the biggest, tallest or strongest but I am prepared to help make your team a family and take your team to the next level.

Weight training has also been used for recovery from injuries in the past or prevention training. Have never worked on a consistent weight training schedule (would like to in the future).

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
