I’ve always loved swimming ever since I was a little girl. I have swam many races and have been to many meets, but my dream of being one of the best swimmers has never changed. I have always wanted to go to a good school and swim the best I possibly could to prove myself to the world that I could go to the Olympics. My dreams have changed a bit, now I just want to get into a good college and live a full life to the best extent. I will still swim my very hardest no matter what and I will never stop until I achieve that goal I’ve set for myself. I have always looked up to Katie Ledecky ever since I started swimming, and I hope that one day I will be like her.
I go to Yinghua Academy, a Chinese immersion school which is in Minnesota. In my seventh grade year I made a speech about her, it was titled “我的英雄” which means “My Hero” in Chinese, and in English I made a persuasive speech on her as well, talking about woman in the Olympics and other major sports events. I make sure that my grades are never below an A and all of my assignments are done well and correct. I work hard to make sure others are also doing their best and that they learn from me and have a great future ahead of them just like me.
My goal is to try and be one of the best student athletes that college recruiters have ever seen. I know that a lot of others have said that, but I mean it. I will never let my dream go and I will work my absolute hardest to achieve that goal. Going to the Olympics will be awesome, but working with a team of athletes and students will make me even happier. I love telling people about my dream and encouraging them to do the same.
Achieving your dream/goal takes work and patience and I have no problem with doing that. I love going to school and learning, teaching others about my sport and trying my best to accomplish my dream.
Besides athletics, I love math and science. One of my favorite hobbies is writing as well. Science is very interesting and whenever I leave the science classroom, I walk out knowing something that I didn’t know before. The same thing with math, I have had many teachers, but they always do a great job and teach me new things everyday. I am striving to get a science degree and maybe even a science engineering degree. I have always loved biology and you need to use math In biology, so everything works out in the end! When I’m in grad school I want to be a marine biologist, I am pretty sure that is going to change when I’m older.
