Hi! My name is Avery Westhoven. I'm a junior at Central Regional High School in New Jersey, and I have been in love with swimming my whole life.
Swimming for me started when I was super young and my love for the sport has progressed ever since- and with that, I have grown to be a better person too. I have grown from a mildly shy young girl with confidence issues to being the loudest girl on the pool deck. I am constantly cheering for my teammates, younger and older, and am often referred to as the team's “hype man”. I am always found with music playing through my speakers and the most excited grin on my face. I find that being the motivation and support that others need, helps me to become the best swimmer that I can be. Especially nowadays when I find myself lost due to covid struggles I find the pool to be the safest place for me, a place for me to be my truest, loudest, most happy self- and I plan on bringing that and so much more to your school.
