I can perform and work hard under pressure. During the high school season my best events (100 fly, 500 free, and 200 free relay) all fall within a 20 minute span of each other. During the high school season I dropped 16 seconds in the 500 free and 7 seconds in the 100 fly. After both of those physically demanding events, I got out and swam the 200 free relay. I was the anchor and had to deliver a 24 to be able to qualify for the State Championships. The pressure to make the state cut and the fear of letting down my teammates really motivated me to swim as fast as possible. I've learned to enjoy the feeling of working under pressure and being comfortable being uncomfortable.
