I would be a good candidate because I love the sport of swimming. I am very dedicated and have a strong work ethic. Previously, I was a competitive gymnast for ten years. The biggest thing I took away from gymnastics was the discipline and the enjoyment of working out. I started swimming around three years ago and just finished my second full year of a short course this past March. Within the season I qualified for Futures Championships in the 100 back, 200 back SCY, 50 free SCY, 100 free SCY, 200 free and 200 IM SCY. As well as 100 fly LCM last summer. My goal for this long course season is to qualify for Winter Junior Nationals, as I missed it in the 50 free by .06. As for academics, I transferred from a public school to a private catholic school in New Jersey. I wanted to go to an all girls school with smaller classes to focus more on my academics.
