I pride myself in being a leader in the pool, classroom and my community. I have been a captain for my high school team for 3 consecutive years, earned all-conference honors from 2015-2019, and was named to the Second Team All-State Team in 2018 and 2019. I have taken several honors classes, have a 4.0357 GPA, and am currently ranked 20th out of 295 in my class. Finally, I have helped others in my community by teaching swimming lessons to under privileged children, preparing food pantry items and teaching Sunday School.
I am currently the Senior Athlete Representative on the North Dakota Swimming Board of Directors and previously served as the Junior Athlete Representative in 2018 and an Athlete Representative for the Williston Sea Lions in 2017. During my time on the board, I have represented the interests of all athletes in the LSC at meetings, in strategic planning sessions, and on various committees. I also attended the first-ever USA Swimming Leadership Summit at the University of Houston in 2018 and received additional leadership training at both the 2018 and 2019 USA Swimming Conventions in Jacksonville, FL and St. Louis, MO. Most recently, I helped plan and secure funding for a training trip for Team North Dakota, which will end at the Olympic Trials in Omaha and a joint leadership summit for athletes in North and South Dakota.
Swimming has been an important part of my life since I was 6 years old, and I am hoping to continue my career at the collegiate level. I am looking for a program that will help me maximize my potential and provide me with the opportunity to contribute both in and out of the pool. I am also committed to excelling in the classroom and am looking for a college that will help prepare me for a career in the medical field.
