Eight years ago I became a swimmer and there is nothing else I'd rather be. I love what I do and am willing to sacrifice everything from free time, to money, to my sanity in order to succeed in this sport and to continue doing what I love for as long as possible.
I live and attend high school an hour away from Dayton where I practice, therefore I make this commute daily or some days twice daily. This year my family and I decided that it was in my best interest to leave public school to enter Arcanum Virtual Academy. I also take three college online courses. This has been one of most important decisions thus far. This flexibility will allow me to dedicate most of free time to training. I am really focusing hard at being the very best swimmer, teammate and person I can.
I try my hardest to lead by example and encourage my teammates to be the best they can be everyday. I am always eager to make myself better in anyway possible. I may not be the fastest in a pool on a particular day, but no one will out work me. I have many goals in the next few years. One being an Olympic Trial cut in the next year.
I work to not only maintain a high GPA but also take the hardest classes offered. I am a member of many clubs and I often help out coaching younger kid on my club team.
I am hoping to swim for a high level division 1 school with highly ranked academics. Also, I'm looking for a dynamic women's swimming program that supports each other and doesn't like to lose!
