My swimming story began when I was just 7 years old at the Polar Bear Swim Club. I loved having something to look forward to every morning. The whole reason it started was because I loved to swim at my aunt's house and I could carpool with my older cousins on the team, who I looked up to a lot! Swimming did an excellent job of fueling my competitive spirit and I quickly improved, as most beginners do. Ever since that summer, my love for it has not dwindled in the slightest. In fact, once I got to fifth grade I started started participating in winter seasons and I picked up both fall and spring seasons when I got to high school.
The reason I would be a good asset to any college team is because I have a competitive nature, not just with my opponents, but also with myself to constantly improve. I also approach my academics and swimming career with positivity and ambition; I am not one to step down from a challenge. Coming from a small town and even smaller school, I have always been one of the fastest in the pool at practice. I want to use my college experience to further challenge myself and expand my knowledge of the swimming world to all the new things it has to offer.
