Malea Beam '26 Recruiting Profile

    I am Malea Beam. An enthusiastic, hard-working, and spirited individual. I put my heart into all I do whether in the pool, the classroom, or anything else! I am extremely driven to succeed in academics. However my work ethic isn’t just applied to school, but all aspects of my life. Supporting my friends is my favorite part of being on a team. No one screams louder than me when someone needs cheering on. One example of this spirit or mentality is at the finish line of a Cross Country race. I often stay at the end of the course, out of breath and sweaty, to yell encouragement at my friends as they sprint to the finish.

    I am adventurous and have many hobbies. My favorites include water and snow skiing, photography, and I recently obtained my first scuba diving certification. I also love hiking and taking pictures of the scenery. Water skiing is my oldest hobby, as I learned at 3 years old. I strive to beat the family record for longest distance skiing set by my great grandpa. 

    I am the only child of a blessed family. We live in a small farming community with my two cats, Chomper and Splash, and my dog Cuda. My family works hard, plays harder, and loves making memories. We love traveling adventures and spending time together.
