Personal Statement
In 2012, I began swimming at the age of 8. My older brother and I had just changed our lessons to a different pool and our instructor encouraged us to consider joining the swim team. We decided to try it out for the summer, but all it took was one summer. I fell in love with the sport and have never looked back. Each and every day that I get to jump into a pool for practice or get on the blocks for another race is such a blessing. Swimming has provided me with so much and I am not ready to give it up soon.
