My goal is to continue the sport I was raised on. I want a team that is a big family and supportive of each others accomplishments. Swimming has played a huge role in my life. My parents put me in a recreational league when I was 6 years old. They later put me in USA swim, where I have stayed for almost 11 years. I work best with people who will push me, and give me a challenge. Once I have a goal set, I will work as hard as I can to achieve it. Swimming has always been a love/hate relationship for me. I am very competitive and I like to win. I take losing pretty hard, but it just pushes me to go harder. I attend a very rural high school, so therefore we do not have many sports to choose from. My junior year, thanks to the help of my dad becoming a volunteer coach, I was able to create a high school swim team for my little 3A school. I made it all the way to the state prelims and finals in the 100 breast and 50 free. I will be striving for state again this next year, but I am hoping to be standing on the podium this time. Along with swim, I have cheered for my school for 6 years. I have always been a straight A student, and I have received National Honor Society all throughout high school. I would not only help the team athletically, but I would help it academically as well.
